The European project ROBO STEAM ACADEMY (Project ID: 2024-1-BG01-KA220-VET-000256580), funded through the Erasmus+ programme, continued the calendar of transnational activities with the organization of a robotics workshop hosted by Stredná priemyselná škola elektrotechnická in Prešov, Slovakia. The event brought together partners from Bulgaria, Slovakia and Romania, providing an interactive framework for exchange of best practices, technology testing and project team building.
Technical checks and adjustments and applied demonstrations of Python robot functionalities During the workshop in Prešov, partner teams performed functionality checks of the robots created based on the list of components, with technical clarifications provided by Stefan Chivarov, technical coordinator from the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (IITC), Bulgaria. The activities continued with hands-on sessions on collaborative installation of Python-programmed robotic arm robots, followed by running demonstrations aligned with the educational objectives of the project.
ROBO STEAM ACADEMY – a strategic partnership for VET education The ROBO STEAM ACADEMY project brings together prestigious educational and technological organizations: Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (Bulgaria), Technická Univerzita v Košiciach (Slovakia), Stredná priemyselná škola elektrotechnická (Slovakia), The National Association of Public Librarians and Libraries in Romania (ANBPR, Romania) and “Cezar Nicolau” Technological High School (Romania).
This partnership aims at integrating robots and STEAM methodologies in vocational and technical education (VET), through the development of educational resources, interactive platforms and extra-curricular activities aimed at developing the digital and technical competences of students and teachers.
By running the workshop in Prešov, the project has strengthened its role as a catalyst for educational innovation and international collaboration, preparing the next steps of implementation and opening new opportunities for modern and inclusive technological education in Europe.
